Our ambition is to create the favorite AI creative tool of thousands of brands, designers, and creatives to produce high-quality visuals. Pimento offers full control along with unlimited creativity, allowing our users to edit and create high-quality ads that accurately reflect their brand or artistic direction in a cost-efficient manner. 🌶️
The company was founded in late 2022 by Florent Facq and Tomás Yany, who met at Ecole Polytechnique and were both passionate by AI and creativity. In 3 years, Pimento has already:
- reached thousands of users, completely fans of Pimento
- created an innovative and fun product: Gen AI applied to images and text, at the cutting edge of the best technologies and for extremely creative uses
- built a team of A-Players driven by the same passion
- raised €3.2M from renowned investors: Partech, Cygni Capital, Motier Ventures, Thibaud Elzière (Hexa), Jean-Charles Samuelian (Alan), Robin Sabban (JellySmack), and Igor Manceau (Ubisoft), and we are also supported by BPI and the European Union

Role
As Machine Learning intern at Pimento, your responsibilities will be:

Benchmark new and existing models
Evaluate and compare new models in (e.g. generation, edition, OCR, replacement, enhancement, upscale) against a realistic production environment.

Explore improvements to current pipelines
Improve outputs quality, pipelines’ speed and overall creativity of ads.

Present results
Document findings, prepare concise reports, and communicate recommendations to the engineering and product teams.

- Requisites
- Code - Solid proficiency in Python, including the ability to work with async-IO functions in a rich and complex codebase, managed with
git .
- Machine learning - Familiarity with the Machine learning domain and in particular with the latest text and visual large language models.
- Presentation Skills - Demonstrated ability to create and present clear data presentations using tools like Google Slides, with a focus on communicating complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Summarizing Skills - Capability to transform complex analyses into clear, actionable insights. Experience with creating executive summaries, detailed technical documentation, and regular performance reports that highlight key findings and recommendations.
- Experience: you are at the end of your engineering career.
- Academic background: Master in informatics / mathematics / data science.
- Network: you have previously worked with creative agencies or brand and marketing teams in your past experiences.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: you want to build a department from scratch and contribute to the company building.
- Resilient: you always find solutions, whether through the door or the window.
- Autonomous: you know how to unblock yourself when hitting road blocks.
- Methodical: you have best practices in mind and know how to implement them.
- Good communicator: you have excellent verbal and written communication skills, both internally and externally, and you are proficient in English.
- Proactive: you can spot potential improvements and bring them to the attention of the relevant teams.
